William McMahon, Gravitai's CEO and founder, leverages his 25+ years of experience in enterprise architecture to guide organizations through complex technology integration. His expertise in CRM, Marketing Automation, and ERP platforms has benefited high-profile clients like Manchester United and The United Nations. With a decade of success at Gravitai, William empowers companies of all sizes to optimize their technology stack.
Embarking on a journey to optimise internal processes amid rapidly scaling operations, London-based cloud technology consultancy, Gravitai, discovered Odoo - the all-in-one business solution that revolutionised their operations. The transition from a scattering of disjointed technologies and Excel workarounds to Odoo wasn't just a choice but a necessity as Gravitai flourished from a small start-up of ten employees in 2019 to a powerhouse of sixty-eight by 2020.
Gravitai’s founder, William McMahon, recognised Odoo's potential during a client project, its holistic CRM, Accounting, Project Management, and Website capabilities lighting a path to newfound efficiency. Enthused by the platform's promise, Gravitai committed to a three-year deal for 70 licenses, adopting an "Odoo First" approach and progressively migrating systems to Odoo over Christmas 2020.
While also servicing client demands, Gravitai harnessed internal technical team capacity to undertake the Odoo implementation. This measured, app-by-app approach embraced the 'Odoo Way' of process optimisation and efficiency, avoiding customisation in favour of better ways of working.
Odoo's impact on Gravitai has been transformative. Invoice management, a previous monthly time-drain, now requires mere minutes. Project profitability increased through improved resource allocation, and efficiencies were realised across all operations. This operational agility enabled Gravitai to expand into new markets, including Ireland, while managing a fully remote workforce.
Impressed by Odoo's ROI, Gravitai extended their commitment with further license investments and a four-year contract extension. The experience also inspired Gravitai to establish an Odoo practice, expanding their team by 10, and led to their ascent to Odoo Silver (and soon-to-be Gold) partnership status. Today, Gravitai continues to champion Odoo across 15 industries, providing testimony to its versatility and cost-effectiveness.
Key Learnings: This story highlights Odoo's potential as a scalable, affordable, and holistic solution for businesses navigating the challenges of disjointed technologies and rapid growth.
